Linwë took a breath of the fresh air around her, she was in the land of men but she was still wary. She shook her head, she could not let her guard down. Orcs could lurk anywhere, her mount tossed her head restlessly. "Penio-torn, Lundi." She spoke the words in elvish for it seemed to calm there mare more. Lin had a hood drew over her face, disguesing her slightly pointed ears, her blonde hair and her blue eyes. She kicked her horse into a run and her dark green cloak billowed behind her like great wings.

Tári Nólatári sat on the ground tending to a cold fire that seemed to have gone out durring the night a thin line of smoke trailed from it. She shivered, her slim elfen frame didn't help her to keep warm, hearing horses hoofs and hearing Ranger stamp his hoof and send a ear pearceing call to another horse, she looked up. Tári scrambled ungracefully up when she saw the black horse and green clothed rider.

Linwë pulled Lundi up to a halt, she looked at the other person, she was slim. And was farier than most women, Lin shook her head, "Ai maenes le? (Who are you?)" She spoke in elvish. She felt her hand slipping more towards the hilt of her sword every second. Lundi tossed her head and was staring at the other horse as if making sure it wasn't an enemy.

Tári Eyed the Ranger suspecially, who was this person? She threw up her head, throughing her glossy redish hair back over her sholder, "im Tári; a le?"(im Tári; and you?) she asked. Tári rested her hand on Ranger, who arched his neck and pranced in place, showing off for the mare.

Lundi snorted and shook her head, "Linwë." She only uttered the one word. She looked over this girl, she pulle dher hood up more over her eyes. She leaned over the saddle of her mount and slid down gracefully. She didn't bother to do anything with her horse, she just let the reins trail and Lundi began to graze peacefully.

Tári relaxed a bit, she turned away putting trust in this unknown person. bending down she put some wood on the smokeing fire, a lick of flame came up then dissipeared. Tári sighed seh was horrable at making fire start up again, how was she supposed to offer food to Linwë? Ranger nuzzled her back senceing her distress. Tári stood and turned, "Sorry, i...." she trailed off did this person know english? She blushed, speaking english when she was elfish.

"Having trouble with the fire?" Linwë gave a small laugh, she bent over and but her hand over the fire, she bent over and blew into it. THe fire immediatly sparked up, she grinned triumphetly. "You control the fire, the fire does not control you." The ranger had not even noticed that her hood had come off when she had bent over. Lundi whinied in the distance, it was a voice telling her of what had happened. Linwë put her hood back up to cover her face.

Tári smiled her thanks, and put a pan over the fire she put a few extra cuts of deer. In doing so she wondered why Linwë had a hood over her face, Tári decided not to ask everyone had there secrets. Tári stood adn walked over to Ranger, it took only a few steps and checked him over, a long journey was ahead of them she planed to leave the land of Rohan and travel to Gondor tomarow. She always checked Ranger before a long ride. Ranger bent his head to sniff Tári's sholder while keeping an eye on Linwë, he didn't fully trust her.

"Smart horse you have." She said, "What is his name?" She tilted her head and Lundi herself came trotting over, "This is Lundi. My mare." She grinned and offered the horse some grass. She lipped her hood down and Linwë flicked her hand as if in a 'If I put it up you will continue to do so anyways.' Her hair fell down to the middle of her back, her eyes pierced through many a people but she just held her gaze firm, "Bah, Lundi." She said sternly,

Tári smiled, "His name is Ranger, my hot-headed stallion" She got a shove in the back as she was comeing back to the fire. Sitting on a stone she took out a 2 inch piece of wood that slightly looked like a wolf, and a carving knife and started to carve.

"Ranger, fitting name...Reminds me of..." She thought back to the time where she had brought a young girl to Rivendale, she shook her head, "What are you carving." She stuck her hands over the fire and tossed in a few sticks. She relised that she had not practiced sword fighting in a long time. It might be good to get some practice. She stood up and walked over a little farther away from the fire.

Tári sighed looked at the carving, "its not very good is it? its sopposed to be a wolf. Reminds you of..." When Linwë got up and walked off, Tári closed her mouth and looked on worriedly had she asked to many questions? It had been like that when she was still at Rivendall. Tári opened her mouth to ask what she was doing, but closed it abruply when Ranger nudged her again.

"it is good." Linwë nodded and then drew her blade almost an inch from Tari's face, She then swirled it around on her hand and jabbed out. "And what it reminds me of is not of your business. It is for me and Elrond to discuss on our own." She then shut her mouth. Knowing she had spoken to much of her earlier journies. God, I am so stupid, Linwë then sliced the air with the blade.

Tári flinched away from the sword pausing in carving. Ranger snorted unhappily but if Tári trusted this ranger then he was not to object. Tári blushed again, "Sorry, have you been to Rivendall recently? i grew up there and haven't visited for a time." She said thinking of her home tucked away in the moutains far away.

"No, not recently, I haven't been there for many years." There was something about this girl that seemed familar but Linwë couldn't put her finger on it. She sighed and looked at the silver hilt of her sword with green jems embedded in it. "The elves made this sword for me. Master craftsmen they are. It feels as if this sword was born in my hand." She sheathed it with a /Snict/.

Tári smiled to herself thinking of her old home. She looked up at Linwë squinting because of the sun, "thats to bad, ya they made mine to, you have no idea how hard it was for them to be perswaded to make a long blade for me, though i have the smaller knives too." she nodded to her pack where her weapons lay. Tári put away the wolf in progress because the meat was ready, she offered her extra plate to Linwë.

Linwë shook her head, "I couldn't..You will need that food more than me." Instead she scrambled over to where Lundi was grazing and rumaged through the saddle packs to grab some food. She pulled out an extra canteen at the same time and tossed it at Tári, "You will need that."

Tári Caught the water, "thanks," she served hersef but waited for Linwë to sit down. She gaised off into space, when ever she thought of her home now, she couldn't help wondering who had brought her there, that was why she was out here now. looking for any family, or the Ranger who found her, "When did you first see Rivendall?" she always asked that she liked to hear the stories of people first arival to her old home.

Linwë took out a root from the saddle packs and went to sit down beside the fire, "Long time ago, maybe (Same time as Tari arrived)." She sighed, "It was after a battle for my life against orcs. I lost my brother to them." She sighed and took a sip from her own canteen. She hadn't spoke of it in a very long time.

"oh... sorry," Tári always felt acquard when people told them about the death of a family member or friend, she never knew what ot say. She took a bite of the meat, chewing slowly, she wondered if she had any family. she looked up at Linwë, "was i there?" she asked.
OCC:you don't have to answer that. or you can twist it.. it dosen't matter.
