Linwe looked around and quietly dismounted, the city was quiet and she herself didn't want to ruin that. She felt almost guilty for leaving Tari but she needed to learn a lesson and Ranger should bring her back when she asks for it.. If she didn't then it would be awhile before she would find the older ranger.
Sighing she grabbed Lundi's reins and lead her to a delapidated stable with a small field out back. They could rest here for the rest of the night and then she would eat and walk around.. not that there was much for her to do. She looked over at Lundi who had a sad expression, "I know."

Nairi leaned against the wall; she was done with her shift at the fruit stall. She smiled at herself, another successful day of selling fruit. Her 'boss' hired her because she was too lazy to sell the fruit herself. Nowadays Nairi paid herself, but was honest; she paid herself what the lady told her to pay herself. Mostly the fruit stand was so successful because young solders wanted to flirt. Nairi wasn’t interested in any of them, but as she walked to her employer’s house a horse caught her attention. She was beautiful, her dark coat shone in the last light, Nairi couldn’t take her eyes away, and she stood frozen staring.

Lundi let out a sharp whinny when she caught the sight of another person, and Linwe who had been sleeping on a pile of boxes jumped up only to break the boxes and for her to fall. "Ow!" She whispered and cursed under her breath, looking around she saw no one, meaning that the person must have been around the front. Peeking around the corner she saw a younger girl, who barely looked like she could move let alone steal a horse.
The ranger pulled her hood over her face and whistled, Lundi reared and cantered to the other side where Linwe was, she kept turning her head to look at the girl though. "Who are you?" Linwe asked from the other side.

Nairi blinked, the voice snapped her out of her trance, at first she could see no one, and then she noticed the person on the other side. A shiver ran down her spine, this person, ether a girl or boy she couldn't tell, was wearing a hood. She backed up a step in shock and wished she had accepted one of the more persistent guys offer to walk her home tonight. Nairi now stared at the hooded figure that stood next to the horse; she didn't say a word she was in shock. She shook her head, trying to focus and to show that she wasn’t that scared that she said defensively,
“Nairi, and you?”

"You needn't know my name..." She looked over and noticed that the girl, Nairi, was backing away, "Don't be scared, I won't hurt you unless your looking to hurt me. I came here to rest with my horse, Lundi." She knew that the girl wouldn't trust her till she lowered her hood, or at least that might make her trust her a bit more. She reached up slowly and pulled off her hood.
"You had scared me, I was sleeping.. YOu might have heard me get up, I broke some boxes." She laughed and ran a hand through her hair, "I take it you like Lundi, she's harmless you know." She spoke in elvish softly and the black mare trotted over to Nairi.

Nairi smiled relaxing, realizing she had been wrong to fear this lady. Nairi cocked her head at Lundi, she still didn't know why this horse looked better than all the horses at Rohan, again she was silent as she watched the horse come over to her. She reached out and scratched the horse’s neck right where she remembered most of the horses at the stable in Rohan like to be scratched, under the mane closer to the withers and above the largest neck muscle. She glanced at the lady,
“Why can’t you tell me? I’m trustworthy.”

"It's not that, I don't want people to know where I am.. I don't want them to even know about me." She looked at Lundi who nickered softly, "She likes you, I can tell. She's elvish you know. Well, actually she used to be my brothers we found her starving and dieing. We rescued her and when my brother died she was taken with me to the elves. She's a good mare." Linwe walked over looking at Nairi, "My name is Linwe."

Nairi blinked in surprise at the news about Linwe's brother, a pang of sympathy went through her and her fears for her brother came up again, But instead of saying sorry, as she new that everyone had told her that, the word elf sprung a bit of interesting news to her mind,
"Elfish? That’s cool, I bet all their horses are amazing, I wish I could see them, someday I will. Hey, I've heard of an elf that was found in the mountains around here, isn't it weird? Elves never come around here; they just stay in their mountains usually."
She talked as she continued stroking Lundi, pleased of what Linwe had said about Lundi liking her. She had said that because it was unusual, and she liked talking about unusual things.

"Where did you hear about an elf in the mountains?" She looked focused for a moment, "I was never there for long. I've never been in any place for long... Not to be rude but personally you don't look Gondorian, Your not from here are you?"
She glanced around, where could she have heard from an elf in the mountains. Because she specifically knew one that was, she got a dreamy look about her for a moment, "I need to know where you got the information of an elf in the mountains. Lundi," She horse looked over at her, "You did tell Ranger right... If so that means that he will come here, hopefully, if there is danger." She mumbled something else to herself.

Nairi shrugged, she didn't notice Linwe more focused; here eyes were still on Lundi,
No I am not from here, my father sent me here to marry into a higher family," She said that with distaste, "I am from Rohan, and I am proud of it, they respect women better there, we can fight there, not here" again her voice slipped into distaste, "but from where I heard about the elf, it was from a young solder who had just come in from his rounds; from what he said his squadron had seen her fighting a very large group of orcs, he had come back to get reinforcements."
She said this all in an unconcerned voice,
"Why do you want to know?"
Suddenly a piercing whinny made Nairi jump, she turned and saw a large blood red bay stallion thundering towards them, shocked and scared she jumped inside the corral for safety.

"What?!" Linwe gasped, "Tari." She whispered, orcs, she wouldn't last on her own. She then saw Ranger, Lundi whinnied but Linwe had already realised, "My friend is in danger.. Can you fight and if you can get on Lundi and follow me if not stay here, no use for you to get hurt. Ranger, I know that you are Tari's, but I really need for you to be with me.." Without waiting for the horse to reply she swung onto his back, "Take me to where she is, quickly!"
"Lundi won't bite, unless I tell her to. Now, are you with me or not?" She was getting impatient, she couldn't help herself though. IF she didn't hurry, then it would probabley be to late.

Nairi swung herself into Lundi saddle, she didn't really understand what was happing, but she like it better than selling fruit. Nairi only grabbed the ends of the rains; she had realized that she had no sword, and that Lundi would fallow this stallion. She felt Lundi stir restlessly under her. She had hardly grasped what was going on.
"What’s going on? What’s this to do with an elf?"
Ranger snorted his impatientness and pawed the ground, reaching his neck over the fence he took a long drink, then he turned from where he came and thundered off going as fast as he could, when he had left Tari she had been getting weaker the ground littered with orcs, and she was covered in gashes, she had told him to go away.

"My friend is that Elf and she is going to die if we don't get there... I can tell just by looking at him." She glared back at Nairi, she had a good grip of the saddle for Ranger and Lundi had bolted right behind him at a full ruin her muscles rippling beneath her coat. "You don't have a weapon do you." She grabbed one of her older swords and chucked it backwards, "Catch." SHe had already drawn her bow nad was knotching an arrow.

Nairi reached up and caught the sword by the hilt, a thrill went through her, and she was back in the saddle with a sword! For the first time for a long time she took in everything around her, she was still smiling excitedly. She loved galloping, though she could tell that this was the fastest she had ever gone. Then a horrible smell reached her nose, and she registered that they had speed past the Gondor army, who were hurrying towards the smell.

It took a mere second for Linwë to aim the arrow and kill the orc above Tari, she aimed perfectly at another orc hitting it in the head, She didn't care that the army was coming they never came fast enough. A single orc got her in the arm as she aimed at another.
She toppled out of the saddle and pulled two knives from her belt, she was now standing beside Tari, "Miss me?" She asked in a joking tone, even though Tari was in no posistion to be joking.

Tari smiled she completely relieved that her friend was here,
"What took you so long?"
She asked, her clothes were blood stained and cut in many places. Blood started to drip into a growing puddle around her feet. Tari didn't have any strength left, Ranger walked in front of her letting her have a minutes rest. She mounted him; fighting from up here was easer than on the ground, adding that he could kick with deadly aim. She noticed another human girl fighting from Lundi's back, surprised she watched as the girl swung down and fought her dress was already had blood stains on it. A trumpet blew over the valley, the army had arrived, still she fought on harder now that she had her friend back.

Linwe laughed and stabbed another orc in the gut before reflecting another's blow, "It's good to be back!" She laughed and sliced the throat of another orc. Before a man form the army took her next enemy, who assumed she couldn't fight. She almost wanted to slit his throat for assuming anything like that. She kicked out another who fell on the sword of his comrad. There was now only a few left. She looked over at her old friend and then to her new one.

Tari dismounted, hitting the ground she swayed and had to grab Ranger to steady herself, she heard the sound of a dress brush the ground behind her,
"Who is this girl?"
She asked Linwe, curious about the fighting Rohan. She wasn't from Gondor it was very clear, and the only place where girls were trained to fight was Rohan.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nairi stepped over the dead bodies of orcs, she came up behind the elf, and she was trying to ignore many of the young solders who were convinced that they had saved her. She walked quicker and came up beside the elf, she hadn’t herd the question, and the elf had said it softer than the solder who was still trying to talk to her.

"I was talking to her when Ranger showed up, she could fight so I took her. Aren't you happy about it?" She questioned looking over at her friend, she put a hand on her shoulder, "If I knew you would get yourself in this much trouble I wouldn't have left you." She added, looking at Tari with laughing eyes.
"Get back up on Ranger, we can go clean your cuts before they get infected unless you trust these men to do it for you." She glared at the soldier who was attempting to see if she was alright. Spinning on her heel she glared, "Leave me alone! Or I will personally break off your legs and make you eat them!"

Tari laughed and carefully mounted Ranger again, trying not to open the wounds that had stopped bleeding. She smiled at the girl,
Of course I’m happy!" then she said to the girl, "here let me rescue you fair maiden"
She joked with the girl, holding out her hand regally an invitation to mount Ranger, who stood still as he was trained waiting for a command. Tari smiled as the girl gaped at Tari,
"Never seen an elf before?"
But all the same the girl took her hand gingerly and mounted Ranger, who snorted impatiently.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nairi walked up and hear the last words, 'of course I’m happy!' and the 'let me rescue you fair maiden' in a light joking voice. Then as the elf turned to her she gasped, even with all the blood and scars, the elf was more beautiful than anything she had ever seen. She tenderly put her hand in the elf's bloodily one. Nairi wondered how many the elf managed to kill before she had started to weaken.
