Linwë stared out into the darkness, "Araton! Have you found anything yet?" She yelled over to her brother, her dark hair whipping into her face as she lashed her head around.
"I might have been able to if you didn't scare off that rabbit again!" Her older brother who was at this time Nineteen which led to Linwë begin Fifteen, laughed back at her. She stuck her toungue out and then sighed.
"I haven't seen hight or hair of anything, can I please go to sleep? We can settle on eating roots for the nightl." She whined, she had been standing guard for a few hours now and was quickly getting bored.
"Go to sleep Linwë, I'll be fine. Lundi!" He yelled to his mare, "Keep watch, be a good girl." Lundi who had been his mare for many years, they had actually found her almost dead and starving. The brother and sister had brought her back to life.
"Thanks." She said before curling up in the roots of one of the big tree's in the forest near Rivendale where the two were staying for a while.

Two shrill whinny's passed through the air, crys from unhuman creatures were heard, orcs were near, hopefully just passing by. But one had smelt the flesh of two half-elven creatures. It grunted and told the troops to charge.
"ARATON! Get up!" She whispered in his ear, "Orcs, get ready!" She herself was holding a bow and a many home-made arrows. She jumped onto Lishki's back, though she had no saddle.
The orcs attacked and scarlet blood fell on ivy green leaves, red flasing on green. ORcs were fallen around and now only two things stood. The first was Linwë, her fingers and knuckles bloody from all the arrows and fighting. And the other was Lundi, the brillant mare who had belonged to Araton.
Linwë kneeled down on the ground where Araton's body lay bloody and beaten, "Linwë. I see the hall's of soldiers, they call for me." He whispered to her, but his eyes were closed and he was barely breathing.
"No! You can't go!" She said, "Don't leave me here alone." But the life had already left his body, she put her head in his hair and sobbed, sobbed with all the orcs dead around her.

After that moment, Linwë burried her brother near Rivendale where the elves took her in after seeing her at the same spot for month sobbing. Only leaving for food or to take care of her new mount, Lundi.
They welcomed her in and trained her in ways until she left and then wandered the roads and paths, being a ranger.
